Each year OFFDEM honnors invisibilised personalities, this had brought us to be more familiar with several amazing characters accross history ok technology hacking and more.
Sadly on january 9th 2023 Adolfo Kaminsky has passed away at the age of 97.
His monumental life as a forger has saved tens of thousands of lives during WW2 and after. He has always been true to supporting resistance across the globe. He has always left when he had a political doubt and never failed. He kept his security and anonymity by never asking for money for his services and keeping his OPSEC safe and simple.
He stopped his activities in the 70’s and explained recently that compared to the time when he was active, his mode of action became obsolete as digitization of society extended surveillance systems. I think he can be considered as an example for hackers and has very countering surveillance of population. He also explained claimed that the documents he proposed where temporary fixes and did not replace the necessity of social transformation.
